Our Promise
At the Orange Dog we believe that in the company of dogs we become better people. Kinder, more generous and patient and capable of unconditional love. The Orange Dog promise is to celebrate our best friends in times of joy and protect them in times of crisis by choosing the best quality products that bring dogs and their owners together and by donating a generous portion of our profits to causes that work to ensure their welfare.
We walk the world to find items that are useful, fun and created with passion by people who love dogs as much as we do. We’re proud to place their brands next to our own and they’re proud to know that their products are supporting The Orange Dog Reward Program.
We also make every effort to make sure that the products we offer are manufactured using pet-safe and environmentally-friendly materials and practices. We’re determined to constantly lower our carbon paw-print to ensure that our best friends have a nice planet to play on.
A Letter from Jan
I love dogs. Love ‘em so much that when I heard about the tens of thousands that are euthanized each year as a result of irresponsible owners and cruel breeding practices, I felt compelled to act.
As a businesswoman I understand the value of strong and caring communities. Throughout my career I have supported many charities. This time I wanted to be part of something new. Something different. Something bigger than I could ever do myself. The Orange Dog was born from this idea.
My mission with The Orange Dog is to grow the bond between dogs and their owners and at the same time help a lot of dogs that clearly can’t help themselves. The Orange Dog was created as an online gathering place to share and celebrate individual acts of animal kindness. Committed people are doing amazing things, and we wants to say thanks. My hope is that when you read the stories on our Reward Program, you’ll be inspired to undertake your own act of animal kindness. The Reward Program is what ties it all together, each month we’ll reward the most touching story with a donation to a registered canine charity of the author’s choice.
Even if you don’t have a story to tell you can help support animal welfare by purchasing a product from The Orange Store for your own four legged friend. I have committed to give back a significant portion of all Orange Dog profits to animal welfare charities through the Orange Dog Reward Program.
